BAKED APPLES

Ingredients:

Granny Smith Apples, or your favorite Tart Apples
Raisins
Chopped Dates, optional        
Cinnamon
Pecans, chopped, optional


Directions:

Wash and core the apples carefully.  
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Put 1 inch of water on bottom of baking pan.
Fill the center cavity of each apple with water and place
in the pan.
Add raisins or chopped dates in the center of each apple.
Top each apple with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Bake for 30-40 minutes until soft.
Serve with
Soy Ice Cream, or Soy Whipped Cream.
Variation:  
You may also add a little of your favorite
Pure Fruit Jelly
in the center of the apples for little extra flavor.
