CAROB CHIP COOKIES
Makes 3 Dozen
Ingredients:
2½ Cups Whole Wheat Flour
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1 Package Carob Chips
1 Cup Carob Syrup
½ Cup Non-Hydrogenated Margarine, melted
¼ Cup Soymilk Or
Egg Replacer to equal 2 Eggs, beaten
1 Cup Chopped Walnuts, optional
1 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract
Oil for Cookie Sheet
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Oil 2 cookie sheets.
Blend the margarine and the carob syrup.
Place in large bowl.
Add the soymilk, flour, baking powder, vanilla,
carob chips and nuts. Mix well, Chill for 30 minutes.
Drop by Tablespoonfuls onto the cookie sheet.
Flatten with back of spoon.
Bake for 10-15 minutes, until golden brown.
