SPRING ROLLS
         
                  Serves 6

Ingredients For Rolls:

1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
2 Cups Whole Wheat Pastry Flour
¼ Cup Sunflower Oil
½ Cup Cold Water

Directions For Rolls:

Mix the flours together.
Add the oil to the flour, making sure the oil is evenly
distributed, until the flour is lumpy
Sprinkle in the water by tablespoonfuls to form
a smooth dough.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for a few minutes,
until it becomes elastic.
Let stand for 30 minutes.

Ingredients For filling:

3 Large Cabbage Leaves
1 tsp. Soy Sauce
½ Cup of any of the following vegetables,
finely chopped:

Broccoli,  Cauliflower,  Mushrooms,
Red Peppers,  Onions,  Celery,
Sprouts,  & or  Parsley

Directions:

Wash and steam the vegetables.
Finely chop the vegetables and mix with soy sauce.
Cut the cabbage leaves in half, Total of 6.
Place a small amount of the chopped vegetables inside
each leaf and roll up.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface
until 1/8 inch thick.
Cut into 6 oblong pieces, 3 inches x 5 inches.
Place a filled cabbage leaf in the center of each piece.
Fold over the longways, wetting the dough and pinching
it together along the seam.
Deep fry in vegetable oil or bake for 30 minutes
at 350 degrees.
Serve with
Sweet & Sour Sauce.
