BREADED STRING BEANS
Ingredients:
1 lb. String Beans
½ lb. Mushrooms
1 Small Onion
1/4 Stick Non-Hydrogenated Margarine,
½ Cup Whole Wheat Bread Crumbs
1 tsp. Garlic, optional
Directions:
Chop the mushrooms and string beans.
Finely chop the onion.
In a skillet, sauté the onion in 2 Tbsp. Margarine.
When onion becomes transparent, add the mushrooms,
the string beans and the rest of the margarine.
Cover and simmer for 10 minute.
Slowly add the bread crumbs and mix well, until the
bread crumbs absorb the margarine.
Uncover and fry for 5-10 minutes more.
Serve with steamed carrots.
